Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

Amber color w/ tan head. Aroma is slightly malty, with that typical lager bite ia the finish. Fla vor is smooth slightly -sweet a touch of bitterness in the finish Palate is a little thin

Not their best work, but a pretty solid beer. Good balance of malts and decent hopping for an old-school Vienna. Dark chocolate notes and a hint of woody dried fruit. Bit flat in the body and not much in the way of aromatics. Very fresh-tasting.

I am continually impressed with the Great Lakes Brewing Company! I thought the Edmund Fitzgerald was the top of the line - but this one is damn close. A must try!

Light amber color with an off white head. Aroma is carmel and malty. Malty flavor profile with a thicker palate. Slight clove taste which detracts, but overall a good beer.

The color was medium copper. The head was thick, frothy, off-white, and laced the glass. The aroma was some spice, sweet, caramel malt, and pumpkin. The flavor was coppery, somewhat hoppy, sweet, and caramel malt. The palate was thin and barely carbonated. The finish was clean

Pours a darkish clear amber with a decent but quick fading head. Beautiful color. Light malts and hops. Has a nice clean crisp taste. It is not the best beer in the world but whenever I see some I buy it. A great on to have on hand at all times.
