Here’s my simple analysis: this is one of the better lagers out there IMO, and I don’t particularly like lagers. It reminded me of SA Boston Lager, but fresher, less hops, and just a bit better. If you like lagers you will probably like this. DrGonzo (625), Somerville, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 27, 2004 Bright copper color with slight reddish tint, medium white head that dissipated quickly. Sweetish malty aroma, hints of pine. Rich and malty, dark and sweet, like eating a loaf of bread. Ever so slightly roasted, tobacco, buttery smooth. Lingering bread finish, little bit metallic. Very well balanced. Delicious! Great Lakes brings the lager to the US. BennyTicklez (621), USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 7, 2005 Amber copper colored beer. Very malty aroma. Carmel malts and mild hops make a nice aroma. Nice smooth flavor and a great malt sweetness. Again, carmel malts are taking the upfront possition with citrus hops sitting in the background. Nice clean beer. dirkules (613), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2006 Updated: Jul 4, 2007Sampled at Great Lakes. This one got sort of lost in the bunch at the great lakes samplefest. Got to see the bullet holes on the tour by the by... anyway, the beer pours a nice dark amber. Spicy raisin hops and dark fruit on the palate. Moderately thorough roasted malts and some lighter dry malts thrown in. A smooth brew that I will need to redrink. BroSpud (612), , Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 25, 2009 Draft. Included as part of a sampler at the brewpub in Cleveland. I remembered liking pretty much everything but do not remember specifics. Do remember that they have an excellent brewpub with excellent beer. Wakie (612), Centreville, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 1, 2002 It made me blink a lot. Not bad, not great. An above average beer but not one I truly recommend. The commercial description is fairly accurate (not as aromatic as they claim).
