Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

The Great Lakes Brewing Co. is on equal par with Bell’s for me. We are blessed in the midwest to have these breweries. The Elliot Ness is a very nice full flavored smooth as silk offering from GLBC.

Amber with a big lasting beige head. Aroma of malt and hops. Flavor is sweet, malty, caramel, and a little fruit. This is the first Vienna that I've really liked.

This is a fabulous amber lager. Noble hop aroma, With a bit of sweet malt. Doughy bread malt flavor with really nice caramel sweetness. Finish is dryish with nice hoppy kick. Excellent, thanks a ton Dogbrick for sending me this.

12oz bottle served in a lager glass. Beautiful sunset amber body topped by nearly two inches of lasting off-white head. The nose is very balanced with some nice malt sweetness and spicy hops struggling for dominance. Flavors of bread, toffee, nuts, and grass. Hops win the battle at the finish though not by much. Superb balance throughout. An excellent, well crafted lager.

Oh my god im in heaven Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a decent beige head. The aroma is caramel and toffee with some citrus and floral hops. The flavor is similar with the malts being ever so slightly more present than the hops. Overall this is pretty well balanced. Medium bodied with good carbonation.
