I’ve been drinking this beer for a while now, and IMO it has one of the best finishes in beerdom. Slightly bitter, burnt brown sugar goodness. Excellent tmad (93), Dayton, Ohio, USA

A sweet malt flavor, a dash of honey hiding within, with nutty undertones. The floral hops combine well with the sweet malt. This is one of my favorites. Pailhead (2597), Allen Park, Michigan, USA

Real good flavor to it, can really taste sweet caramel and it’s malty, nice hop kick and actually alcohol kick to it that give it a nice bite. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Updated: Oct 2, 2006bottle. Aroma: Toasted malts, and a hint of roasted nuts. Also getting a touch of fresh grain. Appearance: Rich coppery red and clear. Head was full and off-white, but diminished quickly. Light lacing. Flavor: Lots of toasty malt with notes of citrus and grass. Also getting a little brown sugar. Bitterness was just right and melded well with the malt flavor. Palate: Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Finish was crisp, but could have been a little crisper. Overall: A nice, smooth, easy drinking beer with enough flavor to keep it interesting. sleestak (188), Williamston, Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours amber with a medium sized frothy cream head. Aroma is caramel, malt, biscuit, and overall very inviting. Taste follows with rich malt sweetness and a surprising hop bite in the finish to keep it from being too cloying. Incredibly drinkable.
