Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

Pour is nice ruddy amber with a dense 1/4 inch tan head...smell is sweet and grainy with nice caramel and molasses notes...taste is nice and sweet thourhgout, but not overly so...more of a subtle roasty malt flavor...nice lush mouthfeel...who knew a vienna could be so tasty?

It has a tangy taste. Brilliant red color, bad atmittedly I picked it because of the color. Nutty complicated flavor. Fruity and nutty all at once. Thick palat feel in my opinion.

Bottle out of Great Lakes sampler. Dark amber color with a creamy off white head. Aroma sweet, also some spiceness as well. Slightly floral scent. Head is soft and creamy. Taste is a bit sweet, some toffee and maybe caramel. Some fruitiness like apples. Tiny bit of hops. The mouthfeel of the beer is excellent. Definitely the best Lager I’ve had so far.

Amber pour with gooey head and lace. Aroma of roasted malt. A maltiness balanced by a decent medium bitter. Medum bodied with good carbonation. A pretty special beer overall.

Thanks to Mike for this one. Dark amber color with a creamy beige head that doesn’t last long but leaves a thick ring at the edge of the glass. Aroma is light. Caramel malt mostly. Flavor has a velvety texture mingling with the heavy malt flavors, lightly balanced with hops.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a decent beige head. The aroma is caramel and toffee with some citrus and floral hops. The flavor is similar with the malts being ever so slightly more present than the hops. Overall this is pretty well balanced. Medium bodied with good carbonation. I believe this was my first Vienna.

This is my favorite lager produced in this region. If I were to describe this beer in two words they would have to be "fruity malt" then I’d add in words like carmel and hops, shortly after I’d add the question "Hey, can I get another?".
