Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

Holy crap what a superb vienna. This blows away any other that I’ve had. Aroma was good...caramel malt and some hops. Pour was a dark amber with a one finger off white head. Taste was very strong...caramel malt all the way with just a bit of hops in the background. Medium mouthfeel and decent carbonation. Very strong and tasty for a vienna.

Pours a nice reddish amber color with a off white one finger head with fair retention and lacing. Aroma is all sweet malts. Taste is slightly offputting to me -- this might be an old bottle. Smooth malts with hints of sweetness with a slightly sour off flavor. Mouthfeel is smooth and refreshing. Very drinkable.

Thanks for the bottle from The_Epeeist. Darker amber color. 1/2 finger head with a strong pour. Hoppy aroma on pour fades to a medium intensity melanoidal caramelized malt aroma. Nice aroma. Medium sweet to dry. No off flavors. Nice amber!

Rich copper, barely tan head. Dry caramel roast aroma. Fairly full bodied, dry and dusty, though not like old stale malt, this is woodsy with a brown sugar finish. Maybe heavy for the style, but I enjoyed it.
