Commercial Description:
Deep Amber red color, with a fragrant malt aroma. Flavorful notes of rich caramelized malt and noble hop flavors harmonize on the palate leading to a crisp clean finish. Named after one of Cleveland's most respected safety directors, who frequented the brewpub's bar during his tenure from 1935-1941 and, according to popular legend, was responsible for the bullet holes still evident today.

Nice Aroma, Nice color, Great taste. I ordered a Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold, but somehow ended up getting this instead. Decided it wasn't worth complaining about & I'm glad I didn't.

Pours a cloudy amber hue, with a small halo of a slight off-white head. Aromas of roasted malts, honey, a hint of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium bodied wiith flavots of caramel, grain, caramel, and a little bit of roasted nuts. Very nice finish....wow, I am not the biggest vienna fan, not to mention lager fan, but this is very tasty.

Smell of sweet malt and hops. Slight hint oh citrus. Great dark amber color, with a bit of cream colored head. Flavor is decently malty, and some nice hops flavors. Finish is mostly from the sweet hops.

Bottle from Scott, Thanks! Pours out a dark brown color without much of a head at all. Smell is rich and fruity, with some caramel and malt hints. Taste is smooth and refreshing, mouthfeel is pretty smooth. Certainly deserving of its top in this style, as Ive not had a better Vienna. Good beer, very good session beer.

This beer looks great in the glass, glows like a copper sunset with a surprisingly thin head. Body instantly has a malty sweetness with hints of dried raisins and a somewhat nutty presence. Aroma is of candied fruits and rasted coffee beans with a hint of natural carbonation. A very, very drinkable beer available widely in the great lakes region, one of my favorite "drinking" beers!

Bottle. Pours a deep amber with a medium head. The aroma is sweet, with hints of malt. The flavor has a nice balance of hops and caramel malts. Very smooth, clean finish. Excellent beer. Wish they could get distributed in Indiana again!

Dark honey color, thick creamy white head. Toasty caramel aroma and flavor. Mild bitterness. Not really a whole lot to say about this. It’s certainly a well made lager, enjoyable and good to have around, yet nothing spectacular.
