Toast, caramel, noble hops and mild roasty aromas. Flavors largely mirror aromas with bread, caramel and roasted malt all discernable. Finish is neutral, leaning towards dry. Very nice, and thanks to PsychProf for sending this. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA

Flavor moderatley sweet with the taste of caramel. Finish is mostly malt with a light bitter background to balance it out. Light to medium bodied. bvkamp (2), USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 31, 2003 The transparent orange color looks tasty sitting on the table under the lamp. I can smell the toasted malts, and they are the predominate early flavor, followed by a brief hint of sweetness hiding in the strong carbonation. There is a dry, bitter aftertaste which is not unpleasant and fades very slowly until my next sip. rudolf (1786), Buffalo, New York, USA

I had Eliot Ness for the first time at a recent wedding that had a variety of GL beers. I enjoyed it the most out of what was presented. I nice smooth taste to it.
