GMUcrew7 (180), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jan 19, 2008 Updated: Aug 29, 2008 Pours nice clear amber color, with beigeish head. Aroma is excellent, very malty, mostly caramel with some roastiness at the finish. Flavor is also very good, sweet malts start off, with a bready finish, very well balanced. A great beer in a style that is usually disappointing.
robinvboyer (997), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Sep 3, 2008 typical amber pour, beige head. Nice malt profile, and just enough hops. Extremely well balanced, and i could drink this forever. One of the most balanced beers i have ever had, a true session beer. awharr02 (4), USA does not count Sep 1, 2008 Reminds me a lot of a Sam Adams... only slightly better. Pours a nice amber color with small head and decent lacing. Smell of hops and sweet malt are present. Mouth feel is quite heavy for a lager. Spicy and crisp hop finish with a bit of sweetness. smaynard6000 (50), New Castle, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 25, 2008 Pours a reddish amber color with a one-finger off-white head. Aroma is mostly malty, with some hops and sweetness in the offering. Spicy hoppyness is evident as it comes across the tongue. Medium mouthfeel with a lingering floral taste. Nice beer. sleestak (68), Williamston, Michigan, USA Aug 20, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours amber with a medium sized frothy cream head. Aroma is caramel, malt, biscuit, and overall very inviting. Taste follows with rich malt sweetness and a surprising hop bite in the finish to keep it from being too cloying. Incredibly drinkable. foundmd (30), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 20, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours deep amber with a nice creamy head. Perfectly balanced malts and hops with subtle caramel sweetness make this an extremely drinkable brew. A real winner.
