I had Eliot Ness for the first time at a recent wedding that had a variety of GL beers. I enjoyed it the most out of what was presented. I nice smooth taste to it.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 9, 2009 This is a fantastic lager that can be purchased many places throughout Chicago in bottle form. Aroma is mostly malty, lightly roasted and a hint of caramel. Very easy to drink with a fantastic light malt aftertaste, but crisp at the same time. tastybeer (96), Washington DC, USA

Aroma: The nose has lots of caramel, toffee, and sweet fruits, with notes of cereal/bread and earthy hops
Appearance: Pours a clear amber color with a disappearing off-white head and light lace
Flavor: Flavor is medium-high sweetness, with a bit of earthy bitterness for balance
Palate: The body is light-medium, with some lively carbonation, and a somewhat sticky mouthfeel
Overall Impression:
Overall, this is turns out to be a well-structured and tasty beer, maybe a drop too sweet for my palate, but very good none-the-less. One that works well as both a highly drinkable brew, and a nice example of its style. Truly a nice beer that, that you might say even borders on being "Untouchable" (sorry, I couldn’t resist, it was just too easy...) No, it’s not quite that good, but it is really solid, and I can’t pass up an easy joke.

Poured a nice amber color with a frothy white head that left some lacing. Basic malty aroma. Good flavors of caramel malt, wheat, and some fruit. Not usually a big fan of this style but this was definitely good. Svesse (2679), Hässelby, Sweden
