Bottle from 3 Sons. Copper color, sweet, and a hit of Belgian in this Wheatbock. You can taste the cloves at finish. as usual a nice example of style with its own unique twist from GL

12 oz bottle courtesy of Binnys (Orland Park, IL). Pours a hazy dark amber, small offwhite head that films, laces some. Aromas are banana and clove off the bat, flaked wheat and softer esters, a hoppy floral feel works in as well. Pleasant. Initial is a bit darker and toasted on the malts, bringing banana esters and cloves into the body for a pleasant combination. Grainy wheat, smooth and a firm yet lighter body than expected wth light spiciness. Bringing up light bitterness, largely a smooth body, fruity and malts, very pleasant and fuller. Finish is light bitter and a bit darker malt. Not bad at all.

Pours a pale clear amber with a full orangish, off-white head. Aroma of citrus and caramel. Smooth sweet roasted malt flavor, buttery and yeasty, some citrus and licorice. Alcohol not noticeable. Very good.

12oz dalekliz brought back for me from Ohio. Pours reddish orange with a tan head. Nose is sweet and quite heavily full of cloves. Taste has less cloves, but they are there with a good punch of bananas. Overall pretty good. Thanks Liz.

Bottle pours hazy dark amber color with off white head. Aroma is strong banana and clove with some yeast. Medium mouth feel. Flavor follows the nose and has some dark fruit mixed in. Good stuff.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange copper with a beige head. Spicy aroma, with ripe banana, clove, and bubblegum. The flavor has a nice balance of fruity banana and clove, with a light toasty and wheaty presence. Nice.

Body is rich copper, almost ruby. Thin off-white head. Nose is banana, clove, brown sugar, plastic, some caramel & rich honey. Flavor is rich malt, clove, banana, more of that plastic (alcohol?), plums, raisins, dark fruits - almost dried figs. Hops come out in the finish. Nice enough but a bit sweet & lacking depth.

Bottle. Deep amber body with a big, but diminishing, off-white head. Spicy/fruit aroma of banana, clove, biscuit, wheat and caramel. Hints of orange, alcohol. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes the same. Tastes of sweet banana, overripe fruit. Slight lingering taste of alcohol and nail polish that drags this down a little. Medium body with a very smooth texture. Lively carbonation. Nice balance and complexity.
