Dark copper pour. Lots of fruit and spice in the nose. The flavor is lightly sweet with a bit of Bananas Foster to it. Pretty good.

Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel malts, plums, yeast, banana, and some cloves. Flavor is pretty much the same with the banana and cloves coming out more on the flavor than the aroma. Overall pretty decent.

bottle at Fort Wayne tasting - Pours hazy orange with a lasting head. It has a rich aroma of malt and bananas. This brew has a bubbly palate and tastes of sweet wheat malt with yes, bananas and cloves, along with some caramel and some other spices. Nice brew.

big juicy fruity aroma. plenty of banana. clove is very prounced in flavor, making things more spicy then just sweetly fruity. strong bubble gum esthers as well. a bit boozy and upfront but not quite off putting. this beer displays the trademark esters of any good weizen yeast strand. soft and silky mouthfeel, even when well chilled. wonderul appearance, dark nearly hazel with a touch of rust colored roundness.

The pour is cloudy and amber hued. The head is a small ring of bubbles around the glass. The aroma is strong and yeasty with some banana like hints. The beer is well balanced between malts and hops, the malts are touch more dominate. The character as a buttery/smooth feel. The hints of banana come through was well as good deal of clove. The beer has a touch too much carbonation. Pretty good. I had not had this offering from Great Lakes, so I was lucky I found a few loose in the local mega mart.

Odd time to release a weizen bock? 12oz bottle. Pours a hazy glowing orange brown with a tightly packed white bubbly foamy head. Nice weizenbock aroma, similar to Victory Moonglow, sweet and rich, caramel, clove and bananas. Flavor is very sweet, rich, phenolic, metallic bananas, lots of peanuts, touch hot especially in the finish, syrupy aftertaste. Medium/full bodied with sharp carbonation and a slightly syrupy feel.

Caramel with good, creamy tan head / Light nose of dark fruit and malt / Medium to full bodied, malty and modestly sweet, with very good balance and finish / Flavors of plums, apricots, banana, bread, toasted grain, cloves, and cinnamon / Another nice effort by GL, especially in restraining the cloying nature of so many of these.

Hazy, murky amber color with thin off white head. Aroma of banana and clove, with some notes of muffin,. Subtle fruity flavor, with some spice and yeast. Pretty nice beer. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied, good carbonation. Finish is a bit wattery, but it hides the alcohol well. Pretty nice beer.
