Beautiful looking beer. Aroma is a strong fruity spicy mix of yep, you guessed it, clove and banana. I smelled the some fresh wheat and dark blueberries in there as well. Flavor was top-notch. Great viscous beer covered all the areas of the mouth with a rich fruity flavor with a hint of spice. Definitely one of my favourites from Great Lakes. Ungstrup (15245), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The aroma is sweet malty with a light note of rotten fruit - too much. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of over ripe fruits - almost rotten, as well as notes of alcohol and wood. Not to my liking. bgburdman9 (823), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 14, 2007 On tap @ the brew pub 10/7/07: Deep amber coppery, hazy, w/ a lasting light beige, medium sized head. Wheat malt, toasted malt w/ a combination of raisiny and plum fruit, clove, and bananas all at once! An ever so slight vanilla note w/ a touch of bubblegum! Classic nose! Well balanced but just to sweet malty flavors. Wheat malt, bananas, cloves, toasted malt and hints of bubblegum and raisins. Dry wheat malt flavored finish w/ a clove and toasted malt and raisiny clove spiced short lived aftertaste. Leaves the palate clean begging for more! I really prefer Aventinus, but this to me seems like a really good WB! Lots of the classic flavors/aromas, and highly enjoyable! moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA

The taste was buttery, messy and a convoluted mess of sweet malts, butter, bubble gum and so on. Perhaps infected? I don’t see how as it was straight from the brewery, but this was just awful in my opinion. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
