Bottle at PilsnerPeter’s Spring Gathering. Pours a clear yellow gold with a thin white head. Smells of grain and herbs. Lightly vegetal. More grain on the body. Ends with a light dry bitterness.

Bottle courtesy of fiver 29 – thanks John! Pours a clear yellow with a 2 finger white head that leaves spotty lacing. The nose is spicy yeast and chamomile. The taste is spice, herbs/vegetables and yeast. Medium bodied. Too many strange spices for my liking, but drinkable.

Bottle at PPRBSG09. I was a bit frightened to try this beer, but it turned out to not be so bad...Pours a clear bright yellow. Aroma of broccoli, sweet fruits, and yeast. Flavor of corn malt, sweet malt, and a bitter finish. Not as terrible as I had feared, but it’s still not very good. 6/4/6/3/13 (3.2/5)

Pleasant summer beer - rather sweet and estery, quite fruity aroma when just poured. Copious head but not very long-lived. Herb flavors are not at all pronounced; I was afraid this would be another in a long line of weird vegetal beers, but instead I’m wondering where the spice is?

Pours a cloudy yellowish-golden with a white head. Has a spicey aroma with some muskiness, although the aroma is feint. Mild flavor with some notes of spice and a touch of orange and lemon.

I saw a man at a party drinking this, after a few beers I asked for a trade, he declined, but gave me one. Not sure about this one. Maybe a bit more spice than banana, but all in all a decent effort, but I prefer other Great Lakes offerings.

Bottle. Pours a hazy golden with almost a hint of green with minimal head. Not much to the aroma; I don’t get a whole lot of anthing from the aroma, maybe a tiny bit of citrus? Not bad, but not great.

Bottle - Eww. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with hardly any head. Smells spicy and yeasty, with some fresh citrus smells. The taste is pretty bad, and odd mix of yeast, grass, citrus, and dirt. There’s a weird nutty flavor and all sorts of herbs that I can’t pick out but don’t seem to work. It tastes like a batch of beer that someone messed up. I love Great Lakes, but I don’t think I’ll be trying this one again.
