large white head over a golden beer. carbonation is moderate to high. yeasty and estery nose. too flaws in this beer. one is the recipe: the spice combination becomes overwhelming and takes away from the yeast and in all honesty isn’t all that cohesive. the other flaw is that the finish is not dry enough, with some malt being present towards the end. an interesting idea, to spice a saison so heavily, but not the best effort by a tremendous brewery

pours a golden cloudy, but translucent color with a thin white head. Taste of coriander and basil with a lemonny aftertaste. Really a great seasonal. 12 oz bolttle

12 oz. btl. dull yellow color. it def. smells strange, like dill pickles. nice sharp hoppy taste, but that weird smell gets in your mouth as you drink. It does taste like grass but I’m not totally against it.

On tap at Smallbar. Straw colored with small white head, fairly ordinary looking. Aroma was very nice: lemon, floral notes, grass, hay. Flavor was true to nose. Very nice sweet lemon start with a mildy sweet creamy finish. I liked it a lot. Good warm weatherr beer.

12oz Bottle. Weird pungent canned green bean aroma. Ugh. This smells like all the bad, overcooked, canned nasty vegetables I never wanted to eat as a kid. Peas, beans, and other weird soggy green things. Ahh. Pours a brilliant evenly hazed glowing bright orange, with a well soapy white edge. Unfortunately, this tastes just like those canned lima beans I never wanted to eat, and still don’t want to taste. Some alcohol, malt and light hops make this slightly more bearable, but not really. This beer gives me the creeps. Thanks Sean for hooking me up with a Saison I didn’t know about.

12 oz bottle: Lasting medium white head on an orange/amber body. Peppery and plum fruity yeast dominate the aroma at first along with the coriander. Floral and slightly grassy. Overall, very pleasant with cereal grain aroma. Sweet up front, with coriander and peppery spicy yeast. The plum fruitiness seems to only be in the aroma. Lightly grainy malt taste. It dries out mid palate into the aftertaste which is peppery and light coriander. Lighter medium body, medium CO2, and dry on the palate. I actually like this one quite a bit. Nicely spiced, well made, and complex enough to keep me interested.

With many thanks to Blankboy and shared with him too. Appearance: Golden orange with small flecks and a vigorous carbonation. Nice copper aroma, lemon grass, yeast, pepper. Flavour: Peppery yeast, spice, malt, quite muted compared to the aroma. Quite nice.
