| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Pours orange with an off-white fluffy head. The aroma has chamomile, light veggie / herb traits, minimal toasted malt and a bit of sweetness. Medium body with a touch of graininess and lots of gentle carbonation on the finish. The flavor starts with a spicy hoppy / herbal bite, lightly toasted malt and come chamomile. The finish has a touch of veggies and some spiciness that’s either hops or phenols - not sure which. jkaiser (227), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 14, 2009 A nice American saison. Not to complex, sort of a baby brother to some of the Hennepin type Belgium type beers. noncaloric (631), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Hazy gold, sticky, modererately sized white head, good lacing. Aroma has grass, yeast funk, a bit of candy-apple caramel, all of which is faint. Flavor of funk and lemon zest, sandwiched between tarty-fruity pear-like ester on top, and a wortier malt beneath. Slightly vegetal on the finish, but not a flaw here. Medium body, somehow both creamy and zesty-dry. Very refreshing. This is a saison I can really appreciate. milewide (625), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 8, 2009 Amber color and modest head for a Saison. Lots of flavors as you would expect from brewer’s description. Sour aftertaste which I liked. Cybercat (826), Georgia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Pours a clear, luscious amber with a thin and not persistent white head. Malty aroma is somewhat fruity, mainly banana with a touch of lemon. Flavor is richly malty and fruity with some strong eskers; banana flavor dominates, and it is slightly sweet and rather refreshing. Texture is smooth, lively and edgy, leaving a fruity finish. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 3, 2009 A kind of sugary, fragrant, perfumy mess. I wouldn’t call this a belgian saison at all. It wasn’t horrifically terrible, but the aftertaste really kills it. Like leaving cheese in your mouth for too long. Kind of sour/salty. Tastes like an amber overdone with spices. BeerBaron617 and I had a glass of this beer at my house and both agreed that it was a pretty good session beer :) It poured a nice yellow/orange with a white head...light floaters and light carbonation. Aroma was very lemony and herbal. Taste was very lemony, had a hint of yeast - hence the "Belgian style".. yeah, pretty good all around. I would like to purchase this again and have for tasty beverage time :)
