| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2006 Great summer beer. A bit more thin than I would like, but it goes down smooth. Has a nice long lasting head and great aroma. Probably wouldn’t drink mid winter as I would some others of the sytle, but definately a solid beer. DrBayern (1137), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2006 Very slightly hazy yellow, medium white head that lasts for a while. Grass and hay with some light spice in the aroma. Light to medium body, actually more mouthfeel than what I would expect, and a lively, but not excessive carbonation. Light spicy flavors with some sweet malt as a backbone. A refreshing mild bitterness with a tinge of sourness finishes it off. Refreshing, not sweet or sticky, making it a good choice for a hot summer’s day. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2006 Poured a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Light malt and light fruit aroma. Some spice but stays in the background. Pretty sweet flavor with fruity pear notes. Semi-dry. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Banana and phenolic aroma. Nice flavor profile. Well-bittered, tangy, like a wit without all the coriander. Smooth and mouthy, good body for a wheat. Quick fruity/bitter finish. Really good.
Rerate This re-rating indicates that this is either a highly-variable beer, or I’ve got a highly-variable palate. Rich, buttered bread and jam aroma. Bright light cloudy yellow, rafting white head. Dry, light bittering, biscuity, looking for a citrus wedge. Not fruity in and of itself. Light body, a bit watery, lightly bitter aftertaste. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 19, 2006 Aroma is an explosion of citrus and flowers, chamomile specifically. Very good. Seems like Witbiers are chronically underrated on this site. ElGaucho (1730), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 14, 2006 Beer on the Pier. Butterscotch aroma, although perhaps that is coming from the residue of the Goose Island Rotweizen I had previously that I couldn’t rinse out because there was no water. Cloudy, pale yellow with a thin, white head and nice lace. Very interesting. A lot better than the Rotweizen. Quite a bit of flavor for only being 5.4%. Very solid and not really all that Belgian whitey.
