Smooth and not too sour, a rarity among wheat beers. Attractive light golden colour and cloudy, soft yet interesting aroma. dp (512), uniontown, Ohio, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jan 30, 2005 (12oz bottle, best by 9/27/04 -- darn, i need to do a better job of looking at dates when i visit stores out of town and see dozens of beers i have not tried before) Pillowy big white head atop hazy straw body. Aroma and taste are the same -- medium sweet, herbal, coriander, lemon. Smooth medium body, some crispness, light acidity. As hoppy as any Belgian Wheat I have tried -- interesting that the side of the bottle says it is a Belgian Wheat, but the front description leaves out the word wheat. No complaints though -- this is an enjoyable and rather drinkable beer. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 9, 2005 Bottle - interesting, spicy aroma. Is it possible for aroma to be fizzy? Looks much like Duvel, but not quite as highly carbonated. Malty and quite complex. A bunch going on here and it comes in waves. Moderately fizzy in mouthfeel - even more than in the aroma! ;-) Although this style is not one of my favorites, but this is a pretty nice beer. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 5, 2005 Thanks to atpayne for this. Pours gold with a big white head. Aroma of malt, hopcit, slight spicy yeast esters. Tastes citrusy, with hops and malt, and a slightly dry finish. I once said that Bill Cowher and the Cleveland Steamer were the only good things to ever come out of Cleveland......you can add Great Lakes beers as a good thing also. Hell, I even thought Drew Carey was funny. Ubiquibeer (140), Cleveland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2004 I’ve always considered this beer underrated. I think it is in the same league as Hoegaarden; not quite as good perhaps, but in the same league. When fresh, it has all the rich lemony flavor of a good wit, but also has an interesting wort like aftertaste, more pronounced on tap than in the bottle, that although is a little off style is not altogether unpleasant.
Rumor has it that GLB is replacing their Locktender Lager with this beer as an available every day bottled brew. If so, it would mean I will have this, Burning River, Edmond Fitzgerald, Dortmunder Gold, Eliot Ness, and usually Moondog Ale in just about every grocery store in the Cleveland area. Yummy! crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA

Flavor is malty and spicy with orange peel and a touch of coriander and even some lemon, I really don’t get the chamomile other than the slight sweetness it leaves, hops are there as well. brewblackhole (1385), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 4, 2004 Light yellow color extremely efferescent, lots going on in the aroma, banana wheat apricot. Tastes like a very sweet wheat beer with spice aftertaste. Tastes are light but distinct, probaly a good thirst quencher
