| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2004 Light straw colord with a lasting white head. Aroma of orange, lemongrass and grains. First sip is dominated with lemon, then comes light malt. I’m not getting much spices here. Mouthfeel is a bit lively but the flavors are light wheat and lemons. Although the head doesn’t prove it, too much carbonation. Makes me burp and that ain’t good. CaptainCougar (5493), Rockville, Maryland, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 30, 2004 Pours a real clear pale golend with a frothy well-lacing white head. Aroma is a subtle soft blend of bready Belgian malt, citrus and coriander. Body starts with a faint hint of sweetness, turning much more dry and spiced toward a peppery finish. This could really use a touch more sweetness and body to make it a more enjoyable wit. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 26, 2004 Pale yellow body, ample carbonation. Yeast, nutmeg and white bread in the aroma. Nice combination of intensity and crispness in the flavor. Starts with zesty, spicy hops, yellow cake batter, and some dry grain husks. In the finish the added spices come into play, they remind me of peppery nutmeg. I really like this wit. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Very light yellowish color, under a big, snow-white head, the perfect picture of a witbier, really.
Aroma, ahhhh!, light, citric, but spicey as all-get-out, zesty, uplifting...ni-i-ice!
Taste: zing-a-zing-ahhhh!, as the Spice Girls would say...refreshing, slightly citrus, but so delicious, and easy to toss back...spicy and light citric flavor sendure on the palate, and remain on the tongue, very appreciated. Really remains, and that’s a good thing, y’all.
Wow, very distinct, very delcious!
Matches admirably against all the best witbiers I’ve ever had...good job, Great Lakes! Yum!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 9, 2004 Pours with a two-finger white head that fades slowly leaving some lace. Cloudy pale amber color. Medium bodied. Nose has a very slight maltiness. Medium carbonation. Layer of yeast at bottom of glass. Starts and finishes sweet, hops stay mainly in the background. $1.49 for a 12oz bottle from Liquor Barn Lexington, KY. IndianaRed (1555), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 1, 2004 Bottle Pours a very pale lemon yellow with very little head of coarse bubbles. A thin ring of white musters up only slight lacing. Belgian spice aroma with lots of citrus. Agree with previous "unsweetened" clomment, with citrus and yeast. Moderate thick feel and I thought the carbonation was quite lively. Drinkable and not too heavy.
