lamas (574), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA Jan 15, 2008 Bottle. Please enjoy by: 04/27/08. A hazy gold pour with tons of little floaties and a smallish off-white head on top. Lemons, cloves and hints of pepper in the light, wheaty aroma. Medium to thin-bodied. Tastes clean and wheaty with a good bit of lemons, zesty orange rinds, spices and yeastiness throughout. Finishes with some pepper and more hoppiness than the average witbier.
HighlanderOne (454), Somewherein, New Jersey, USA Aug 23, 2008 Poured from bottle. Herb and spice in aroma. Persistent white head, cloudy gold. Very good spice mix with the malts. Banana, pepper and vanilla notes. Very drinkable. Spicy finish. One of the better American made Belgian whites beer_chugger (41), Colorado, USA Aug 23, 2008 Pours a very pale yellow color. A little head forms and some lacing as well. A rather attractive beer I must say. The spices are most definitely notable. The coriander is perhaps the most noticeable of the spices. Chamomile is present as well. This beer is brewed well, but I’m just over the whole Belgian White Ale taste. Too much spice for me. (I have tried not to let my prejudice show in my rating.) sleestak (63), Williamston, Michigan, USA Aug 20, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours like liquid sunshine with a lovely white cap of lacy foam. Smell is Wit 101 with grass, spice and citrus. Flavor, however, demonstrates nothing to separate it from its brethren. Notes of orange and spice, but there’s something medicine-y in the finish that detracts from the experience. Decent enough, but doesn’t live up to the other fine beers in the GLBC brewing portfolio. grimreeser (677), Minnesota, USA Aug 20, 2008 Pours a Cloudy light gold with a decent head. Aroma of citrus, spicy, wheat. Solid flavor. AskForJenny (430), Ontario, New York, USA Aug 12, 2008 12oz - Pours the customary yellow gold with the requisite internal glow. White head lasts and gives nice lacing. Yeast and spice on nose. Lightly citrus on front, malt in middle with a sweet finish. The finish is distracting.
