Lots of pine, smoke and resin in the nose - it’s a nice dank IIPA. Has that "cannabis" like flavor that my favorite IPA’s have. Flavor is a bit sweet, but that’s to be expected for a MW IPA. Where it’s lacking is in bitterness - this is a sweet but not bitter beer. It seems like they used lots of aromatic hops, but very little bittering hops. Overall a good Midwestern style IPA. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 9, 2008 Thanks miketd! Pours a dark brown amber with a one finger creamy yellowish head. The nose is very pungent, apricot, fruit, pine, very very strong on the apricot part, sweet, light light alcohol. The flavor is a bit subdued, the hops seem to be on a much smaller scale, piney, slightly waxy, not much carbonation, a little sweet, fruity, light alcohol. The mouthfeel is undercarbonated and leaves me wanting a bit more. Still a good brew. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 2, 2008 Bottle from goryshkewych. Thanks George! Been wanting this one for a while. Glad that it is fresh! Orange red colored beer, hazy with a thin head. Nice color. Great aroma of tropical fruit, tangerine, peach, apricot, and melon. This has an incredible fruity aroma. Nice soft fuzzy fruits in the flavor; peaches, melons, apricots followed by a wave of pale malts, bread, and caramel finished by a medium bitter floral, piney, and peppery bite. No alcohol. Soft and fruity on the palate. Carbonation is rather low and creates a smoothing effect. An interesting IPA that is a little different than what I am used to in terms of West Coast bitterness, but this is fantastic. Lots of flavor layers. Complex and damn good! I am going to rate this one up there.
