Nice golden color with a white head that dissipated quickly. The aroma is somewhat faint, hints of floral hops and bread. Very nice balance in the flavor, sweet honey and bready malts followed by the nice bitter hops. I haven’t had too many ESB’s but this is a pretty good beer.

Jul 4, 2008 Bottle. A hazy golden orange color with a white head. Aroma is a light flowery hop smell. Flavor is slightly bitter with a crisp finish. Definitely not overly bitter, but easy to drink.

Jun 30, 2008 12oz bottle. light hazy orange color. medium white head that disappears fairly quick like, but leaves some good lacing. smells earthy - with floral, spice, citrus. malt backbone balanced with a hop and pepper finish. also tasting a little caramel and toffee along the way. tasty enough.

does not count  Jun 26, 2008 Great Lakes seasonal--it doesn’t strike me as an ESB, the hop character is pretty singular, but it does taste wonderful. Session beer indeed, it’s easy to have many and each pint tastes better than the last.
