gws57 (988), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Oct 16, 2006 Got this one bottled at the Binny’s Oktoberfest in St. Charles, Illinois. Reddish amber pour with a tan head, citrusy nose with hops and roses, citrus throughout, some carmel and malt. Really good.
daknole (644), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle. Nice dark abmer pour wtih a medium sized head. Head coats glass well. Aroma is more hops than I expected. Juicy and malty flavor. Yeasty and lightly fruity. well done brew. nqualls (113), Tennessee, USA Aug 3, 2008 4 pack of 12 ozers. This poured an amber color with two fingers of head. The head disappeared quickly with a good bit of lacing. Aroma was of citrus hops. Taste was balanced between the hops and malt. Great beer. General_Gao (2434), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Jul 22, 2008 12oz bottle. Smelled of caramel, toffee, steeping barley, mango and citrusy hops. Poured a clear reddish-orange color. The head was light tan with an orange tint. Some lace was left behind at the end. Medium bodied and slightly sweet with toffee, toasted bread, and subdued mango flavors. Mild citrus and spruce flavors emerged and there was some alcohol at the end. The hops imparted a mild to moderate ho bitterness to round out the sugars. Not bad. doppelmeup (50), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jun 29, 2008 This poured a reddish amber with decent head that left nice lacing clinging to the glass all the way down.
Hoppy aroma of cut grass and grapefruit; more than I was expecting, but a nice surprise.
Taste was full bodied, with a sharp hop bite balanced by a malty backbone.
Moderately thick mouthfeel that gave a nice finish to the drink.
Overall, this was a decent beer and I would recommend it.
