oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Sep 26, 2008 Bottled@Fonefan. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is hops, caramel, sweetish sour fruits and mild notes of toffee. Flavour is hops, grass and some mild citrusy notes. Aftertaste has a strange soapyness coming in. Interesting, yet not that special. johndoughty (1660), cheslyn hay, West Midlands, England Sep 12, 2008 Bottle. Bronze and poured with a small head. Malty with some fruitiness.Bitterness develops and all round this is an above average bitter. thewolf (3963), Kolding, Denmark Sep 6, 2008 Bottle @ YNWA, Kolding.
Pours dark golden with a small, disappering head. Aroma is sweet and malty, some slight berries. Light mouthfeel, low carbonation, still okay. Flavour is okay as well, some caramel, toffee, weak smokiness and general herbal sweetness. Okay. Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Apr 21, 2008 A Mes rate: Gravicask at Coventry Beer Festival. Nice copper brown with a slim white head. Very bland all round really. Lots of caramel and very green. Tastes like it’s not ready yet to me. Pub (4112), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England Apr 13, 2008 Cask conditioned at Coventry Beer Festival ’08. Brown to gold with white head. The beer is quite Welsh in its malty quality, quite heavy and a touch sweet, sugary. There is some frutiness and a little hop on investigation, a touch lemony, but the principal taste is the sweetness.
