beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Jul 1, 2003 Claims to be brewed with six different kinds of hops, one for each year they've been open, hence the 6th Anniversary Amber.
Color is light brownish amber, kinda hazy, very little head, about 1/8 of an inch that faded fast and left some lace. Faint spicy hop and malt aroma, very soft and light on the nose. Taste is good, a little empty at the start, but the middle gets some malt tones and finishes with very nice sweet, bitter hop bite, slightly dry. Has a bit of spicyness. Is light to medium bodied and resembles an IPA style in the overall taste. They serve it a little to cold. But it mellows out as it sits. Pretty decent stuff. Next years Anniversary is to have another kind of hop added. That should make it even more interesting I'm sure. aceofhearts (1373), San Francisco, California, USA May 22, 2002 Not bad. Hints of nutmeg, sweetness, candy. Somewhat complex. Nice!
