Commercial Description:
Lots of Vienna malt and hops were used in this cask. Five different malt varieties and four type of hops used to creat this tribute to Monty Pythons' "Holy Grail". Served on cask just like the did back in good old Camelot. 90 IBUs.

Sample from cask at the brewpub. Pours clear orange to amber with an off-white head. Aroma is malty caramel beneath a little layer of aroma hops. Flavours starts out with a malty caramel dryness going into a floral hoppiness. Finish is a dry blend of malt and mild bitterness.

(cask) Frothy beige head atop clear deep amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel/toffee, some chocolate. Taste is medium sweet, floral/earthy, dusky, chocolate/caramel, some spice. Soft light-medium body, light resin. Very English-style IPA -- I’d never guess the IBUs given the hops used.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/23/07: Pours a hazy copper orange with an airy, clingy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of fairly fresh, earthy piny English hops with a touch of floral citrus character and sweet caramel malt. Body starts fairly full and sweet with a nice earthy caramel sweetness and good floral lemony citrus hop balance before a crisp smooth bittersweet finish.

Draft @ Brewpub: Copper color, light head and lacing. Nose of full on fresh woody, piney hops. The sweet pale malts underline it. Finishes balanced and creamy, fresh, yet musty. Good IPA. Woody!

Cask pint at the brewpub, June 24 2007. Dark, dusky caramel-bronze in color with a small, lasting smooth head....fragrant floral hops dominate the aroma, light earthy musk, a bit of black pepper....caramel and baked fruits power the sweet, somewhat sugary/syrupy body, light earthy dry hops show up late to balance things out....bitterness increases a bit (and it is welcomed) as the glass warms in the sun....smooth, cream body, lovely low natural carbonation. Good job.

On cask. Copper color with a thick head. Strong aroma of grains with a little piney hops. The taste is a good mix of sweet malt, bitterness and what I think is lemongrass. Something almost chocolaty, too. Interesting and tasty.

One of their better beers. Amber color and a creamy head from the cask pull. Hops in the aroma. Bitter, herbal hop flavor. Dry finish. Good. Light malt.
