Great Waters House Ale

On handpump at the brewpub on 05/31/2009. Very clear golden body with a large frothy off-white head. Sweet pale, bready malt aroma with some floral hops. Soft bready and toasty flavor with some floral and earthy hop notes. Light body with moderately low carbonation.

Sampled during ABR ’07 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pours a golden pale amber brew with a a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light bready malt, some citrus zest and a touch of caramel. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt, some floral hops and a touch of green vegetables. Finish is semi-bitter and dry with a light caramel malt aftertaste.

Light hoppy nose with some malt. similar taste profile. Yellow red color.

Draft @ Brewpub: Bronze, nice head and lacing. Nose of vegetal hops and biscuity sweet malts. The flavor is nicely hopped, more on the nose though. Finishes robust and malty with a clean very British feel to it.

Pours copper/gold. Caramel aroma and flavor with some sweetness. Something in there I didn’t care for.

Sample from cask at the brewpub. Pours golden orange with a white/orange head. Aroma is mainly malty. Flavour is bittersweet malty with a mild layer of bitterhops. Dry malty finish. Well brewed, but not my fav. style I guess.

(cask) Clear apple juice body with off-white head. Aroma is mild, medium sweet, floral/earthy. Taste is medium sweet, peach, some floral/earthy, spice. Light-medium body.
