Commercial Description:
This is a medium to light bodied, copper colored ale. The pleasant hoppyness comes from East Kent Golding hops. The clean aroma helps balance the biscuit and caramel malts used in this English country ale.

Sample from cask at the brewpub. Pours golden orange with a white/orange head. Aroma is mainly malty. Flavour is bittersweet malty with a mild layer of bitterhops. Dry malty finish. Well brewed, but not my fav. style I guess.

Draft @ Brewpub: Bronze, nice head and lacing. Nose of vegetal hops and biscuity sweet malts. The flavor is nicely hopped, more on the nose though. Finishes robust and malty with a clean very British feel to it.

Sampled during ABR ’07 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pours a golden pale amber brew with a a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light bready malt, some citrus zest and a touch of caramel. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt, some floral hops and a touch of green vegetables. Finish is semi-bitter and dry with a light caramel malt aftertaste.

Copper color with a medium head. Slightly grainy aroma. Taste is reminicent of apples. A little bitterness on the finish. A tasty session beer.

I liked this. Dark coppercolor. Lacing white head. Light hop and malt aroma. Very smooth on the palate. Flavor has more hops, light malt, and surprisingly strawberry. \

Hoppy, tastes like tea, they’ve nailed the English sense of flavor--bang on. If this were served in an English pub you wouldn’t question its English provenance, though it would be on the hoppier side of the English range. Very smooth from the cask. Gentle bitter finish. Orange/amber with a cottage cheese head. Extremely drinkable with some interest for Americans. (handpull at brewpub)
