BDR (1864), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Feb 22, 2008 Winterfest 2008. Hazy orange color. Citrus, corriander and belgian yeast on the nose. Similar body, not bad at all. Skyview (2800), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Feb 13, 2008 On draught during the Winterfest 2008 in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Pours a hazy orange amber brew with a thin white head that leaves behind a thin white ring. Aroma of some light multi-grain malt, apple skin, coriander and some light yeast. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with some fruity character of apple skin, coriander, orange and yeast. Finish is smooth with a light multi-grain malt and apple skin aftertaste. A little spicy on the yeast side but still enjoyable. tennisjoel (725), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Feb 10, 2008 Winterfest 2008
The smell and flavor of this beer was like sucking on the skins of an unripened orange or apple peel. Pour was a hazy orange with a creamy head. Some coriander as well. Odd beer, not terrible though. robertsreality (2462), Minnesota, USA Mar 12, 2007 Updated: Mar 17, 2007Burnt Orange/Yellow With White Skin. Banana, Belgian yeast and Light Wheat Notes on the Nose. Initially Very Carbonated....Followed by a Rich Malty Flavor...Yeasty Foundation..Spice Notes...and Lightly Dry Hopped Ending. Very Balanced...and Drinkable...
Rereated From This Year’s Batch March 15 ’07. Cloudy Orange Brown with White Ring. Alot of Belgian Yeast and Spices on the Nose. Belgian Yeast, Bready/Biscuity Notes...Nice Alc Warming and Spices...Crisp Light Dry Ending. Some Bready Citrus Notes Pop Up as Well. Nice ’Strong’ Witbier. incutrav (505), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA Jan 26, 2007 My review would be even lower, but I hate this style of beer in the first place, but I think GW made a decent run of it. Lots of sweetness, with the coriander coming threw strong. Wheat beers in genral are not my thing, so not a big surprise that this wasnt for me.
