roccotool (25), USA Jan 2, 2007 Bottle. Aroma-Fruity. Appearance-Same as any other IPA. Flavor- About as boring and standard as the semi-gloss paint on a kitchen wall. Palate-Nothing big to mention. This is just an average IPA, with nothing to make it stand apart. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Sep 30, 2006 On-tap at the brewpub: Slightly hazed gold with a nice firm capping of white foam about a finger high which keeps its present at length. Lots of sheeting lace is stretched across the glass.
Aroma is quite nice of citrusy juices where orange, lemon, and grapefruit collide over a little pineyness and sweet malt backing it up. Crisp, clean, hoppy, and inviting nose.
Taste is smooth and clean with a nice citric realm of lemon, orange, and grapefruit taking a nice mildly balanced flavor across the palate. Nice touches of caramel malt and sweetened, piney bitterness grab with just a touch of grassyness. It kinda reminded me a bit of Two-Hearted, but somewhat lighter and not as lengthy. Pretty solid taster though. Very smooth, lightly crisp, and enjoyably drinkable.
Body is about medium, smooth and carefully hopped with a nice balance and well rounded clean crispness to its bitterness.
A favorable drinking IPA. Its not flashy for an IPA, its a nice hop fix and tasty. Not to mention, super damn drnkable to boot. I had a few these in a hurry as they went down oh so nice.
