A great christmas beer. Drier than usual but this just adds to the overall drinkability.

Ruby coloured. A rather dry, malt dominated and unusually complex lager. Loads of subtle flavours, flowery hop aroma, and a well balanced bitterness.

[Draught, Den Tatoverede Enke, Copenhagen, 2002] This is a very good bottom fermented brew. Very malty and full bodied. Slightly spicy and fruity and rather complex. I was lucky to try the draught version of this brew. All of this beer is bottled except for six barrels which was made available on draught. Den Tatoverede Enke in Copenhagen got one barrel.

A little thin. I was too drunk when I had this beer. Pretty rare though.

Fully ruby red, cola-like carbonation to amber-yellow head, fast gone. Fruity (dark fruit as plums) and bread-malty nose, Bocklike. Sweetish, liquorice. Bready taste, blueberry, tobacco, little hint of piney hops, but mostly dark, sweet malts. Rather thin, watery body. Carbonation gets fast exhausted. Lets one down after some time, after a very good start. German character, Scandinavian MF.

Bottle. Aroma has a hint of malt, brown sugar and metal. Brown colour, unstable head. Flavour is at first sweet and malty, turning a bit watery and then malty again. The finish is actually quite nice. Carbonation is a bit high. 4 3 6 3 14

Bottle, 5.2%. Weak roasted aroma, hint of fart. Clear dark brown colour, red shine. Good roasted flavour. Some mild cream. Slightly sweet. 7 3 7 3 14

Bottle (50 cl) from Systembolaget. Clear reddish brown, rich beige bitter head. Malty aroma with soffe roasted chocolate notes. Light to medium bodied, very soft but lively carbonation. Quite dry with low to moderate bitterness. Close to being very good, but something is lacking.
