Bottle shared by Maxxdaddy. Deep copper-amber pour, slightly hazy. Thick malt aroma- yet it is a bit oxidized. Some odd plasticy phenols with a hint of smoke. Flavor is a bit oxidized as well. It does have a touch of smoke as well as gritty cocoa- papery, with a sweet maple suggestion. Finish is mildly bitter. Seems oxidized overall, a bit off.

Bottle shared by MaxxDaddy. Odd, lemony, kind of gabagey aroma, a touch of cinnamon. Similar flavor, a touch spicy, a touch smoky, kind of vegetal. Not great.

2007 vintage, bottled. Apperance: Ruby red with a small head. Aroma: Figs, Port wine, Raisin, Malt. Flavor: Malts, Caramel, Raisin, Dark fruit (hello apricot!) Palate: Very sweet and quite thick. The carbonation makes the liquid stik to the tongue. This is exactly how i want a good doppelbock to taste. Very sweet and well crafted brew from Grebbestad! Recommended!

Shorts tasting with The Club and then some. Pours a clear brownish with almost no head. Smells of caramel and a hint of metals. Quite bitter with strong malty aromas. Also light honey hints and hints of bog myrtle. Medium body. Low carbonation.

Bottle (Lunator 08) at home - thanks marsiblursi. Clear dark amber - no head. Honey, caramel, ryebread, nutty, malty sweetness, raisins, dried dark fruits, licorice, chocolate. Nice.

Dark brown color with a tan lingering mediumthick head. Sweet malt and caramel aroma. An elegant taste which presents a complex mixture of dark chocolate, licorice, dark syrup and rye bread.

Beautiful colour - dark ruby. Medium head. Caramel, licorice in the nose, ditto in the taste. Vinous notes, sweetish finish.

Rye and caramel aroma. Malty caramel flavour. Quite full but still a bit refreshing. Grows as you get into it. A bit of sourness lifts it up nicely.
