The flavour has sweetness, notes of raisin and other dried fruits, candy sugar and a light citrus, that gives a nice bitter counterweight. Full body and quite nice. 2402

Pour is a muddy red-brown amber liquid and a small beige head - becoming a thin film soon after. Aroma is sweet, has lots of malts, a little berries, some plums and raisins. Mouthfeel is extremely full. Flavour feel a little underwhelming at first - quite sweet with no indication of alcohol. Raisins, caramel, weak roastyness, berries and a light spicyness. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2007 2001 rendition. A small beige cover tops the cloudy dark chestnut brown body. Well begun oxidation leands old leaves, red apples and coiny flavours, but they never get very obtrusive and bold earthy and toffee notes join themselves to the buttery, toasted munich malts that are certainly not ashamed of their old age. A solid lager, the mouthfeel remains rather round if a bit loose in its carbonation and texture. Still, a smoothed malt-oriented strong beer, heavily bready and well-organized, never getting too sweet in this aged sample, which does not seem to always be the case with fresher bottles. ekstedt (2441), Göteborg, Sweden

A cloudy beer with white head and a sweety caramel taste to it. A clear alcohol taste but complex otherwize. Quite sweet but not bad. Maybe too much alcohol taste for me.
