Poured out of 330 mL bottle, obtained as a generous gift from ompher on RateBeer 2/15/05. Rated blind. Dark brown in color with deep red-orange highlights and tiny flecks in suspension. Full, fluffy, light tan-white head, strikingly pale for the color of the body. Fine, tight lacing while the head is there, but it fades far too quickly. Fruity nose with lightly toasted, soft biscuity malt and a fuzzy tangyness. Flavor is fairly mild, lightly bready like some dark wheat bread crust with a touch of nuttiness and faint earthy hops. Lightly drying medium body with a slightly sweet, toasty, lightly earthy finish, lingering quite impressively with light doughy bread and hints of fruit. Solid and certainly very drinkable, but not spectacular. Still, I’d be happy to sit down with a six-pack of this brew at a spring picnic. Thanks Per! anders37 (4763), Malmö, Sweden
