Commercial Description:

courtesy of Per - clear reddish-amber colour under a little but persistent white foam; very strong aroma of caramel and butter; sweet and medium-bodied, no bitterness and a long sweetish aftertaste of caramel - very one-dimensional

Bottle. Nice amber color, nice creamy and quite lasting offwhite head. Huge and great butter aroma, diacetyl, yoghurt and with fruity notes. Flavor brings butter, rather sweet, fruity notes and some vanilla. Fresh floral finish.

Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: More balanced than the average maibock, pale sweet malts with herbal grassy and floural hops. Decent enough.

2008 Bottle, 6.5%. Distinctly buttery aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Almost no head. Luckily, the flavour has less butter than the aroma. A little anis feel in a good mouthfeel. Strangely enough, the flavour seems very clean apart from a little butter. Hint of sweet dark malts. Some raw liquorice in the very late aftertaste. The aroma is horrible, but the flavour seems OK at first. After a while it does get worse, though.

Light amber color, small off-white head. Very butterscotchy, buttery aroma. Carbonated, caramelly malty flavor with some diacetyl with slightly alcoholic edge. Sweetish-alcoholic aftertaste.

Bottle, RBESG08 grand tasting.
Nice golden-amber colour, off white head. Slightly yoghurty malty nose. Sweet malty taste, distinctly honeyish, again some yoghurt. Weak hop. A nice bock.
