May 17, 2009 Bottled. An amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma is sweet with ntoes of malt, bread, cinnamon, and a touch of metal. The flavor is sweet with notes of strong notes of bread, medium notes of malt, cardboard, and caramel, as well as light notes of yeast, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

May 27, 2008 Bottled. Clear pale amber, rich compact head. Faint malt aroma. Sweet and soft, mildly malty with spun sugar and cotton. Low hop rate and bitterness. It’s on the sweet side of the style, and gives sugar too much field to play on, but the very soft mouthfeel is very pleasant.

Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toffee, buttery. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (130608)

Jul 20, 2008 2008 Bottle, 6.5%. Distinctly buttery aroma. Clear dark amber colour. Almost no head. Luckily, the flavour has less butter than the aroma. A little anis feel in a good mouthfeel. Strangely enough, the flavour seems very clean apart from a little butter. Hint of sweet dark malts. Some raw liquorice in the very late aftertaste. The aroma is horrible, but the flavour seems OK at first. After a while it does get worse, though.
