Aroma of orange, and lightly faded, but extremely nice hop profile. Simcoe and Crystal hops are easy to still pick up. Tons of caramel. Taste is faded, citrus and passion fruit, with pine, caramel and a bit of tea. Still bitter. Light bubbles. Would be even better fresh. blutt59 (2184), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 27, 2009 Bottle. Pours hazy orange with white head. I know this was probably a lot better fresh, but I was just now able to get a hold of a bottle. Pine and citrus hops, but the malt has taken over this beer and made it a little more Barleywine like. Still a good beer though. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 12, 2008 Bottle from PUB’N. Pours hazy deep orangy with 1-finger uniform off-white head and great lacing. Nose is heavy piney hops, mango, pineapple, tangerine, caramel malt, and female gymnast feet. Tastes very piney, very hoppy, with tons of tropical citrus fruit, and a solid malt bill that falls off on the malt a bit late, but the hops and citrus fruit continue to pound the palate into oblivion. Rich, juicy palate. This one is delicious. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA

Smells of resin, touches of spice, some oranges, hints of sweet malt, yeasty. Tastes bitter with some nice resiny hints and touches of sweet malt. Sometimes direct is good and this is definitely a straight shooter.
