Once this finally settled down, it left good lacing on the glass throughout the drink. Nose is hoppy floral, apples and a hint of banana. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and slightly tingly, and the flavor likens the hoppy floral and fruit sensations in the nose.
Not bad for a beer with a comic book name.....too bad it’s retired. drowland (1436), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Besides that the flavor profile is typical for the style and not bad. arrogantb (734), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 5, 2009 Well, I love the WC IPA, the barleywine and the tripel so I figured it was time to give this a go. The color is yellow and hazy with a sticky white head. The aromas are faintly metallic with a slight hint of crisp, grassy hops lurking in the background. The flavor is weird, so subtle I almost can’t pick anything out except a slight bitter finish and a tea-like flavor, but wait, lemons!. The mouthfeel is watery but for some reason not in a bad way. I could drink several of these at a time so it would be a good session beer if the flavor was stronger. Although I found this to be slightly above average, the nut brown is next.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 8, 2009 A- Pours a cloudy dark straw hue, head is 1finger of white froth and tight tiny bubbles, fair lacing
S- Nose is mostly pale malts, crisp and clean, some bread and light toast, hints of pine and citrus hops, grass and earth
T- Very well-balanced, the pale and bread malts come through initially, followed by light hops, and a dry bitter finish
M- Light-bodied, watery to oily texture, excitable carbonation
D- Great session beer and a great pale ale, the crisp freshness is reminiscent of a lager, but the malts and hops add significant flavor and complexity, check this out for a smooth and refreshing ale joshwilfong (797), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Sampled at Bevmo. Pours very clear and light straw-colored. Decent pillowy white head. Minor aroma of American hops. Taste is pretty boring. Easy to drink, but extremely boring. I can see why this is getting discontinued.
