Commercial Description:
This English-style Summer Ale has a bright golden color as the name indicates. Cascade hops impart a floral aroma that is accented by citrus notes lent from Chinook hops. The hop flavors mingle with with premium pale malted barley to create a flavorful ale that is crisp and refreshing.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a very thin off-white head. Aroma of strong fresh hops, metal, nickel, malt and even more strong scents of hops mixed with metal. Medium-bodied; Super strong bittering taste up front from the hops along with a potent metallic twang afterwards. Aftertaste shows citrus, floral and especially piney hops coupled with more of the unfortunate metallic tastes. Overall, still a very nice and strongly hopped beer - definitely one to try. Overall, one that was almost more reminiscent of an IPA than most other APAs, but very good - especially for hop lovers! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Norm’s in Vienna, Virginia on 18-April-2007.

On tap at the Bocktown. Pour is a big white head on top of a ubiquitous pale yellow american beer color. Aroma of slight hops and copper, not much more. An interesting variation on a hop flavor. Not extremely hoppy but enough for some personality. Meduim low carbonation. Finish is OK but it does leave a lingering bitterness on your palate for a few moments. About average for an APA. APAs are just one step less offensive than IPA. Not quite as good as Erie Brewing Hard Cock Ale.

Good but not great pale ale. Not hoppy enough for my taste but I would get it again.

12 oz bottle-Poured a cloudy yellow w/a slight head & a lot of lacing. Cleared up to a clear yellow. Nice floral, hopped aroma. Unfortunatly the pour was the best thing @ this beer. Metalic, astringent, off putting citrus flavor which I did not find pleasent at all. A straw/grass/corn flavor. Thin mouthfeel w/a metalic finish & a bitter dry aftertaste. I would not drink this again.

Tangering colour, odor and taste. Pours with a frothy lasting white head, fair lacing, citrus smell, light grain malt, a little hops floral, watery texture, light to medium body, flat carbonation, a faint bitter aftertaste, so, so, lacks hops and complexity for Pale Ale seems awfully light, it is refreshing but not crisp. Green flash brewery has done better.

Bottle: Light golden, slight hazy, large clumpy white head, similar lacing.   Soft hop and tea leaf nose.   Noticeable malts, but very pale.   Cereal oriented malt backbone with a VERY pale hop presense.   This is indeed an EXTRA Pale Ale.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Extract like finish with its soft astringent graininess, somewhat muddled.   Some citrus based bitterness on the finish, but it pales compared to the twang.   Tiz okay, but not as fresh or clean as their IPA.   Lingering metallic like astringency.

This brewing company is good across the board. This ale is drinkable, lots of flavor for a light beer.

12 0z. bottle on 3/19/07 in Colorado pours a clear gold with a medium white head that lasts well into the glass. Light grainy and grassy aroma. Light to medium body complements a clean refreshing mouthfeel. Primarily bitter, this could use a little more malt for better balance, although the dry finish is refreshing. Seems ot serve it’s purpose well as an inoffensive, refreshing, and light bodied ale.
