Commercial Description:
This English-style Summer Ale has a bright golden color as the name indicates. Cascade hops impart a floral aroma that is accented by citrus notes lent from Chinook hops. The hop flavors mingle with with premium pale malted barley to create a flavorful ale that is crisp and refreshing.

Throw back type beer. Reminds me of the beers my dad drank in the taverns in and around Philly. Nice easy drinking beer.

Bottle from oak tree. Pours an orange yellow body with a white quickly diminishing head. Burnt malt in the aroma and some hop stuborness. Very malty with a hint of light citrus. Simple beer.

On Cask at Stone Brewing Co. World Bistro and Gardens. Aroma is hops and pine. Pours pale yellow/orange with nice rocky head, pretty clear for cask. Flavor begins sweet and mellow with a hint of grapefruit. Finishes with a great hoppiness, with an emphasis on pine and again subtle grapefruit. Medium body with great lacing down the glass (cask adds to the nice body). Really enjoyable on cask, very drinkable. But, I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it as much on tap or bottled.

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of peaches as well as other fruits, and hints of hops. The flavor is sweetmalty with strong notes of peaches and hints of hops. Thanks Alex (fiulijn) for sharing.

Not too pale in color, but body is very thin and watery. Has a significant amount of hops for the style, but has this almost soda-water like thinness and taste that really bothered me.

Cracking Pale Ale. Maintains most English Pale characteristics but with more PNW hops.

12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Hazy orange pour with a medium head. Aroma of earthy hops. Citrus and earthy hop flavor. Full bodied. Very refreshing and pleasant.
