Light gold, decent head. Light pine and earth hop aroma. Faint biscuit malts on the tongue, earth, pine, and faint grapefruit hops on a pleasantly bitter finish. Very similar to the Legend Golden IPA with a bit less malt. Not bad. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 30, 2006 Pour is dark clear golden with a nice big dense tan head...smell is hoppy with grapefruit and lightly biscuity...taste is bitter, but sort of garbage watery...somewhat sweet up front with the bitter garbage water coming in at the end... chargerfanjess (116), San Diego, California, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 26, 2006 pours with fine wite head and golden clear hue. This is a beautiful everyday drinker. I love pale ales and this is a standard of mine. Spicy malt gives way to a nice cascade hop bite. I highly recommend this for anyone who has not had it. Just grap a clean pint glass and enjoy

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 15, 2006 Updated: Jan 16, 2006Pours with a frothy, two finger thick, light tan head that sits atop a brilliantly clear, full gold colored beer that has a tint of copper to it. The aroma is fat with hop notes of pine, lemon zest, and grapefruit. As my nose gets used to the hops it begins to pick up a note reminiscent of fresh baked bread.
The taste is lightly sweet, but just barely noticeable above the hop notes. The hop character here is immediate; a sharp, pine-like bitterness starts up front and carries through to a clean biting bitter finish. The beer is pretty light on the palate, but it has enough fullness to it that it does not feel thin at all. This beer is pretty simple, clean malt notes and a biting hop character make for a drinkable beer that is nice and enjoyable, and quickly disappearing from my glass.

| 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Jan 9, 2006 Golden in color. Head was great for a filtered beer...nice white lace. Very nice aroma of hops but not too overpowering. As I drink this wonderful brew I loved the crisp balance between hops and malt...the malt is perfect for this pale. I couln’t say more about the palate other that the fact it is perfecto. One of the best pales I have ever had. bhensonb (4374), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 6, 2006 The hops save the brew. The effect is grapefruit, but the nose is a bit faint (could be my nose). I just can’t pick up the floral until it’s in my mouth. I really like it. The bitterness persists. I really like it. Very clean; very crisp; the finish is grapefruit fibre. I really like it. Bockyhorsey (2554), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2005 Has all the aromas associated with an ipa. Floral and citrus. Gold body color with good white head. Body of beer I thought was little thin. Flavor all came in the aftertaste a good citrus belch. Cool and crisp refreshment nonetheless. argo0 (6998), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is medium sweet, pine/grapefruit, some apple. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some apple, orange/floral, medium bitterness. Soft, light-medium body with some crispness, light resin. (11/23/05, 12oz bottle) Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, spruce/grapefruit, some grassy. Taste is medium sweet, spruce/grapefruit, some floral, lime. Clean bite in the finish, more bitterness than expected from an Extra Pale Ale. Light-medium body, clean. Not sure that I liked it at first, but it definitely grew on me. (6/4/7/4/14)
