Filtered clear honey gold colored body with a white head. Decently hoppy nose - full of dry hop cones, fresh cut grass, dry pine wood, and some yeast character still present even after filtering. Light and oily up front, more frothy with a medium bitterness over the middle, with an airy, light finish. Far less complex than their IPA, but a still good drinker - straightforward hops but light and subdued.

Aug. 2007 - This is a pretty solid example of the style. Crystal clear gold color with foamy head and good lacing. Good aroma and flavor of bready malts and citrus malts with some citrus hops and even a slight funky grassiness. This one packs a pretty good bitter hop kick without being difficult to drink. Nice!

Pours a nice golden color from a bottle with plenty of head. Nice pine aroma. Nice hoppy beer this could probably pass for an IPA, could drink several of these no problem unlike allot of hoppy beers at least for me.

Clear gold, small white head, aroma seems a bit faint n this one but there’s some fruity hops and lightly toasted bread, nice bright refreshing flavor of orange lemon citrus and peach with some bitterness on the finish. Smooth and satisfying palate, pretty solid example of the style. Among San Diego’s more flavorful beers in the under 5% ABV category.

Bottle courtesy of Wickedpete: Poured a deep golden color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some nice lacing. Aroma of crisp dry hops with some light bitterness. Taste is a nice mix between some crisp hops with light bitterness and a medium sweet malty body. Full body for the style with some good carbonation. Very refreshing and well balance for the style.

Pours pale, slightly hazy, and orange; firm crown of white and lots of sticky lace. Aroma is tightly balanced with a blast of citrus, tangerine and aromatic wood hops tapering into a sweet malt and yeast collage of cotton candy, cookie dough, and toasted white bread. Pleasant and soft. Taste is more plain and not exciting, but without flaws; flavors of basil and mint leaves, iced tea, copper, lavender and light sourdough. Crisp palate is medium bodied and smooth; finishes loosely with a stale crystal and iceberg lettuce coating that is thick and stubborn in the mouth. A fine pale ale for the most general of markets. Pours a nice clear golden color with a thick white lasting head. Good hoppy aroma with some nuttiness and caramel. Slightly sweet flavor with a nice bitter citrus peel finish. Not bad at all.

12 oz botltle from West Coast. Pours a lack luster hazy honey gold with an average size slightly fizzy white head. Large malt aroma with lots of bread and slight caramel shinning through. Medium bodied with average carbonation and a dry palate. Malt dominant flavor of dry toast with a slightly bitter finish. In the world of color this beer is gray, goes well with lots of stuff but can’t really stand on it’s own.
