It pours a hazy gold with an enormously thick creamy head. The bottle I opened had settled for a few days but foamed over profusely. It starts with orange peel then barley rich grains. It ends with a brief but noticeable tin flavor, which quickly gives way to fading hops. GuilTTy (538), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 31, 2007 Clear auburn pour under a relatively tall off white head with thin lacing. Mildly fruity aroma with some apricot and citrus. Well balanced and moderately hoppy flavor which starts as a mild IPA and finishes as a dry APA. A solid and refreshing brew but nothing spectacular . badlizard (2394), Berkeley, California, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 28, 2007 Clean crisp refreshing. A superb pale ale. Tried at Green Flash’s tasting room with my friend Joel from work. Joel bought a case (24) for $20. A pretty good deal for a great beer. I prefer stronger styles, so a rating of 3.6 is very high for this style for me. goldtwins (4086), Nesconset, New York, USA

The aroma is malty and grainy with mild earthy hops. The flavor is malty with a citrus middle. The finish is thin with a mild-to moderate bitterness that lasts a long time. Light bodied. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 22, 2007 12 ounce bottle purchased at the Davis, CA Food Co-Op. Aroma is rather boring. Lots of grainy, cereal-like notes present. Mildly earthy, lightly grapefruit citrus hop aromas are also present, too. Mildly hazy honey-colored body present with a large, frothy, white head that leaves some attractive lacing. Some floral hoppy flavors hit you immediately to start, followed by just a bit of grainy palel maltiness. Finishes with very dry, bitter, earthy hops. Not overly complex or interesting. Quite unbalanced and the hops are a little too over the top. It’s serviceable, but nothing amazing. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
