| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 21, 2009 Bomber poured into an English pint. This beer pours hazelnut brown with a large persistent head. The aroma is slightly sour, acidic and very reminiscent of Belgian yeast. The flavor follows the aroma with the addition of nicely roasted grains and nuts in the finish. This is a multifaceted beer that changes dramatically over the course of the swallow. elihapa (1067), Honolulu, California, USA

Flavor fronts dried fruit and dark chocolate early on, followed by earthiness, and more fig-like fruit. Finishes dry and slightly spicy. patrick767 (2051), fort wayne, Indiana, USA

It has an aroma that’s full of dark fruit. The flavor is a sweet, dark fruit accented malt. Some good balancing hops comes through in the somewhat dry finish of this full bodied brew. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 15, 2009 A lasting light brown foam remains atop the cola dark brown pour. Aromatic beer boasting a proud lineup of hops with their flowery hints that deepen the otherwise Belgianesque/weizenesque yeasty (banana cake, pudding, phenols) and fruity (very strong plum notes) foundations. In mouth, a strong liquorice aspect stays to the forefront while subtler bubblegum and various fruits never manage to overtake the beefy biscuity/toasty maltiness. Very sweet, thick-bodied, but the considerable hop bitterness manages to keep the wheels on track as far as I’m concerned. To me, this is a rather unique beer in the mold of what Lagunitas aims at: chaotic strong beers, more or less balanced, but in the case of this Green Flash example, I fell under its viril charms. ericandersnavy (1139), crossroads, Texas, USA
