Tap at the linkery. Pours orangey with a tan head. Nose is sweet and strange. Taste is sweet, spicy and vinous with a weird bite.

Pours with a dark reddish-brown body topped by a medium thick, off-white head with a good amount of lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a nice light spicy note and hints of dark fruit. Medium to full bodied and smooth.

On tap at Stone over Thanksgiving. Pours hazy, red/brown with a medium sized off white head and specks of lace. Smells of spices and rose petals with some sweet malts as well. Tastes of spices, cumin or whatever, clove, allspice and roses. Sweet overall. Pretty good, like drinking a bouquet. Medium body, ok carbonation.

Draft. Mahogony beer with a dark cream colored head. Malt, fruit, and light spice aroma. Dark fruit and caramel flavor with spice. Medium bodied. Dark fruit and caramel lingers with a little earthiness.

On tap at OBrien’s. Brown color. Sweet malty aroma. Lightly sweet taste. Low to no bitterness, but you wouldn’t guess it had no hops, unless someone told you. Easy to drink. Very nice.

On tap at Beachwood about a week ago. Poured a dark-reddish brown color with a white/off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, herbs/spices. Flavor was similar but with caramel corn, caramel and fruit added to the mix. Very herbal, but didn’t become medicinal; still not an everyday/session beer.

Draft at Obriens. Light ruby orange with no discernible head, good clarity. Nose is floral and earthy hops with plenty of herbs and spices. Flavor is mostly floral tones (lavender, violets), winter and baking spices, moderate bitterness from herbal sources, finishes sweet. Medium body, light carbonation, thick texture. A refreshing and drinkable gruit, very spice and floral-forward, interesting flavors best enjoyed in smaller quantities.
