| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 12, 2009 On tap at Beachwood about a week ago. Poured a dark-reddish brown color with a white/off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruit, herbs/spices. Flavor was similar but with caramel corn, caramel and fruit added to the mix. Very herbal, but didn’t become medicinal; still not an everyday/session beer. BrotherGrendel (599), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2009 Draft at Obriens. Light ruby orange with no discernible head, good clarity. Nose is floral and earthy hops with plenty of herbs and spices. Flavor is mostly floral tones (lavender, violets), winter and baking spices, moderate bitterness from herbal sources, finishes sweet. Medium body, light carbonation, thick texture. A refreshing and drinkable gruit, very spice and floral-forward, interesting flavors best enjoyed in smaller quantities.
