Commercial Description:
Resinous hop character and bitterness balance the rich caramel malt base. We took it a step further and Amarillo dry hopped the brew to 45 IBUs, creating refreshing and savory hop flavors and aromas. Is it Red IPA? That’s your call.

12 oz bottle at the Bier Stein. Very attractive dark red pour with a sizable dirty white head. Pretty carbonated, but not unpleasantly so. Very tasty, almost IPA like in hoppiness and flavor, pine and citrus predominate. Dry finish. Extremely tasty especially for the style.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Citrus pine, and grapefruit. But citrus shines through for me. I really liked this beer, for the style a score. Nice malt backbone and finishes dry. Awesome beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark amber with a red hue, airy head, lively carbonation. Big hoppy citrus aroma, like an IPA. Flavor is caramel malt, with some light notes of grapefruit. Medium mouthfeel with a dry finish...very easy to drink. Excellent.

Bottle at Brickseller, Washington DC
Amarillo dry hopped
Cloudy red-amber color, creamy head. Nice aroma of American hops, sweet nuts, caramel and vanilla. Robust mouthfeel, with strong caramel flavor, sweet enough, and powerful hopping with some resins, and almost a cookie touch. Very good.

Pours reddish amber with thick off white head. Aroma has huge hop nose. Taste of grassy hops and nice mix of caramel. Very good.

On tap at Blues Smoke, NYC. The loveliest dark ruby beer I have ever seen, beige head and lacing. Piney dryness, fruity body with cherries and plums. Great with food, this one got the saliva running. Not too dry, full body, grapfruit in the tail.

Poured a nice reddish amber color with a white head. Aroma was nice and hoppy, mainly floral notes. Flavor was a bit bitter and grassy with a nice citrusy flavor. Good overall beer. Excellent for the style.
