Pours a very dark red tea with nice head that leaves some artistic lacing. Hop nose is very fresh and ripe...grapefruit and some honey. Flavor is pretty much and amber with a huge amount of hops...which is fine by me. Big, bitter and tasty. Finish is simply pithy flavors. Considering I like hops...I love this beer. Thanks stefan! Like the dscription says, possibly better thought of as a Red IPA. With that said, since I love hops, I’d drink this "amber"over any other one that I’ve tried so far. Aroma is intense, with strong hop resin...very inviting. Nice refreshing finish. I really enjoyed this one and will definitely return. ketchepillar (488), Des Moines/Grinnell, Iowa, USA

That being said, hops are tasty, this was tasty. Swalden28 (1515), McKinney, Texas, USA

Pours a hazy red amber with nice dark beige head. Aroma is of nice hoppy grapefruit. Has a great fresh hop flavor with caramel malts with a high hop bitter that is refreshing. Has medium heavy mouthfeel with medium-high carbonation. Over all a great IPA. ericandersnavy (1138), crossroads, Texas, USA

Hops dominate the aroma and the palate with a hint of malt in the backround. Mellows a little as it warms. very good Mrthirstyneck (341), Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 12, 2008 for an amber ale, it’s awefully Ipa-ish! Which is a good thing. Deep dark orange-RED color. huge faomy light tan head that laces like a banshee. Mostly hops on the aroma though i picked up a little malt sweetness too. taste is lots of hops with good amounts of sweet malts poking through, really nice beer. Finish is grapefruity hoppiness with nice malts mixing in. Finish seems to last a while and transfer to mostly a bitter dry grapefruit! Great beer!
