Pours a deep copper ruby red. The head is about a finger thick creamy and tan. The nose is sweet and hoppy, spicy, a tad earthy and herbal, malty backbone definitely evident, caramel. Interesting nose. The flavor is interesting. There is a flavor that I can’t quite describe. Earthy herbal hops, spicy hops, caramel, malt, bitter waxy feel. Has a nice mouthfeel and spicy waxy palate. The finish leaves an interesting flavor in your mouth. Overall an interesting beer. Also not too sure this is an amber ale.

Oct 9, 2008 Pours a beautiful red with a fluffy tan head. I’d take a nap on it. Beautiful aromas coming from the Amarillo hops; also a whiff of caramel. Tastes magnificent. A burst of hops, some spicy sweetness, and some more hops. Very drinkable but some how packs a punch at 6%. Of note, more flavorful and lively on tap.

Oct 8, 2008 12oz bottle. Fresh. Pours a deep amber with plenty of bubbles and a spotty head of off-white creamy lace. Aroma is a spicy hops and a full caramel backbone. I have to admit I really enjoy the juicy nature of Green Flash’s IPAs. This is more full flavored and rounded but I’m not sure I like it as much.

Oct 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours a copper/amber color with a white head. Aroma of piny and citrus hops with a hint of caramel. Flavor is piny and floral hops with grapefruit, citrus, and a touch of caramel sweetness. Medium body with a dry hoppy finish.

Oct 7, 2008 Dark red with reddish tan head. Loads of pine and citrus in the aroma with some maple. Flavor is nice and piney with a smooth caramel backbone and some tart grapefruit. Pretty damn good.

Oct 5, 2008 Clear copper/red with a light tan head. Big piney hop aroma with ganja bud and sweet caramel. Medium body. Great hoppy pine forest and floral hop flavors riding a rich , sweet caramel malty base. Another tasty, hopped up amber ale ala Nugget Nectar.
