Commercial Description:
Resinous hop character and bitterness balance the rich caramel malt base. We took it a step further and Amarillo dry hopped the brew to 45 IBUs, creating refreshing and savory hop flavors and aromas. Is it Red IPA? That's your call.

12oz bottle. Aroma: Aroma: Nice fruity hoppiness with notes of orange and apricot, floral and light spice. A good amount of maltiness with a large dose of caramel. Some light breadcrust. Appearance: Deep reddish amber bordering on copper in color. Nice clarity. Bone colored head was full and foamy with great retention and lacing. Flavor: Hop forward with notes of apricot, resin, orange, and floral. A bit of caramel and breadcrust. Bitterness kicks in soon and lingers for a bit after the finish. Finishes dry. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. A bit of astringency on the tongue. Overall: Nice beer. Smooth and very drinkable with a nice hop kick.

12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Pours lightly hazed deep garnet topped by a dense off-white head. Big Amarillo nose of grapefruit and pine. Deep bitterness balanced by sweet caramel flavors, some pine and grapefruit as well. I agree with the rep IPA statement before me. And while it is good it needs something else to keep me coming back.

Bottle courtesy of Naka. Pours red with light khaki head, one finger. Nose is all hops, citrus and pine. Taste is moderate bitter with a solid hop flavor, pine, citrus and mild resin with nice malt backbone, caramel with a mild chocolate flavor. Bitter lingers well into the after with some dank hoppiness. Very tasty "amber ale". More of a red IPA.

12 oz bottle from premier gourmet. pours deep red with a perfect everasting tan head. perfect amber ale appearance. hoppy aromas with a perfectly constructed malt profile. flavours are equally good with neither hops or malts outshining the other. very well balanced and sessionable. the only better amber ive ever had is Grand River Plowmans Ale and this only lacks in complexity. very solid ale.

Pours light mahogany into a shaker. Fluffy off-white head pancakes as it slowly recedes. Sweet caramel, citrus and resin aromas. Beautifully balanced with upfront sweet caramel and a lasting grapefruit finish.

Brownish red with a fast-fading tan head. Aroma is fantastic, multi-note hoppiness which includes floral, citrus and vegetal aspects. Taste is also quite hoppy, with pithy citrus bitterness and a slight biscuity finish. Very clean on the palate, except for a steady, low-level lingering bitterness. Solid stuff, and very drinkable $2/12oz
