22oz bottle. Aroma: Lots of citrusy and piney hops. Grapefruit, pineapple, resin. Really juicy. A hint of caramel and a nice malt sweetness underlies all the hops. Appearance: Dark golden in color and hazy. Off-white head was medium sized and looked like soap suds. Fair retention and lacing. Flavor: Hops kick in right from the beginning. Orange and pine, pineapple and resin. Bitterness comes on early and fairly strong. Don’t taste any of the malt until the aftertaste, where I pick up a bit of caramel and some malt sweetness. Finishes fairly dry with the bitterness carrying over for quite awhile. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Medium carbonation. Light alcohol warming in back of mouth. Overall: Really nice west coast IIPA. Full of flavor and really drinkable. I’m glad I have a couple more of these.

Oct 8, 2008 (650ml bottle) Purchased at The Strath in Victoria for $5.95. Pours a quick dissipating, frothy white head atop a light orange body. Nose is great... Reminds me of Big Star’s IPAs. Very floral and bitter - and most importantly FRESH! It smells late-hopped. Flavour is so overly hoppy, creamy malt finish mashes the tart orange and pine flavours. Very good. 8/4/8/5/17

Oct 7, 2008 Pours a hazy yellow with some amber hues. Foamy off white head. Looks real nice. Super nose of sweat onion (typical from Sumimit hops and light pine background. really that’s about it, but it is surely enough. The flavor is not quite where I’d like it. The oniony Summit hops are there and taste very good, but I prefer things a bit more on the aggressive side. Medium body with and oily mouthfeel. Average carbonation with a sweet malt finish and a cutting bitterness. Really a fine beer.

Oct 5, 2008 beautiful yellow/amber pour with a HUGE sticky frothy white head. Aroma of grassy hops, with some big notes of citrus, and grapefruit. Flavor is very nice, some great hops in here, lovely citrus, and some really nice malt, this is one of the most balanced DIPA i’ve had, very very nice. But not as big and bitter as i was expecting. I found their west coast IPA to be hoppier.

Oct 2, 2008 Aroma is piney, light copper, small tan head. Taste is quite citrusy, a decent malt underpinning as well. Medium bodied, quite bitter. Very good example. Thank You Torontoblue

Sep 30, 2008 22 oz. bomber bottle from Vintage Estates in Ohio, has a orange and yellow hazy pour, there are touches of peach colors in this brew , has a white and off-white fine bubbled two finger head that leaves nice lacing on the glass, a generous amount of effervescence that continues, aromas of grassy and floral hops with earthy and weeds hop fragrances (nugget hops?) in the background, toasted malt, sweetness and faint fruit citrus aromas, lots of hop bitterness with malt, flavor of bitter pine hops with pale malts, toasted malt and some caramel flavors, lemon fruit and citrus on the tongue, has a big hop bite and faint burn on the tongue, I did not taste any alcohol when this was cold, alcohol shows up as it warms but the alchol is hidden very well, mouth feel is more then medium with generous carbonation, a nice balanced IPA2 with the tilt towards the hops that is easy to drink.
